Growing up in a house full of animals, from parrots and turtles to cats and dogs, working for anything other than the health and wellbeing of animals was never in question for Emelie. As a Technical Services Veterinarian on our Research and Development team, she guides the development and innovation of pet products through scientific research as well as providing technical support to pet parents on our products.
Emelie spent 8 years as a small animal veterinarian in and around London, UK, both in smaller GP practices and larger hospitals.
She then ventured into the world of animal pharmaceuticals, working for a global animal health company as a Veterinary Advisor and Product Manager before making the move to Sydney in 2024. With a keen interest in pet nutrition, she was very excited to join the Black Hawk team and to contribute to keeping our pets healthy by providing them with high quality, premium pet food.
She is the pet parent of Elsie, a Hungarian Vizsla, who loves spending her days curled up under a blanket on the sofa. Elsie also takes her role as treat and food tester very seriously providing invaluable feedback to the team judged by the amount of drool she produces (a lot usually!)...
“For us to give our pets the best possible chance to a healthy and happy life, high-quality nutrition is key. Black Hawk pet food is based on extensive scientific research to ensure our pets get all the essential and necessary nutrients while also being exceptionally yummy.”
